I binged all 6 books in this series over the span of month. The story is hilarious, action packed, unpredictable and emotional. Jeff Hayes’s narration bring this series to life, he has different voices for all the characters and they are all so unique that I thought it was a full cast of narrators at first.
Not sure how I will survive the wait for the 7th book. I’m in a serious post-book depression/hang over. Will probably re-listen to this series multiple times until next one comes out and maybe check out the Soundbooth theater version too.
Run, don’t walk, to start this series. You will find yourself laughing out loud at Carl, Princess Donut and the gang’s crazy hijinks, bite your fingers in anticipation and worry during the numerous climatic battles as the gang fight their way to survive the next floor, and tear up at those emotional moments when they loose their friends or a little bit of themselves but still somehow find the will to fight another day.
10/10 stars. New favorite series and narrator.
