This book is terrible. So many things that don’t make sense at all. The premise of the book is great and I really wanted to like it but the writing is so amateur that I just can’t get through it. I’m turning it back in for a credit. It felt like the author wrote the book with a thesaurus nearby. A statement like “the man’s friendly demeanor” becomes “the man’s bombastic and friendly demeanor” – for no good reason. The hero is an ex-military bad ass who is both decisive and incapable of making decisions. The entire plot is implausible. It reads like a bad Saturday morning cartoon.
