What if one day there was suddenly no power, no water in the pipes, no phone reception, no internet, no food in the shops, no fuel for the car, what would it mean for the USA or any other 1st world country that takes its essential services for granted.
This book looks at a family in small town rural USA that is facing this problem in the present day and it is all horribly believable and possible. It made me think about my own situation and question how I would cope.
Besides being a good yarn with sympathetic characters, this story taught me a lot about survival strategies and I look forward to the next in the series. Narration was good and suited the content of the story.
I was freely given this audiobook to listen to in return for an unbiased review and as I was both entertained and educated I think it was time well spent.
