So the short of it is, the story is worth listening to, but has issues.

Good:

Though the world is populated by typical manga/anime races and is not breaking any new ground, it has an interesting twist to it. I’m glad to have gotten to experience it. The dual MC thing too is pretty nice, the dynamic between the characters is fun.

Bad:

Plenty. The antagonists are a bit cartoonish, and the author went overboard trying to establish their bad-ness. Not sure why, my best guess is that he tried to make sure nobody will sympathize with them so the MCs don’t catch any reader’s ire for killing bad guys. The author does waaay too much saying, where showing would have done a much better job, like instead of spending paragraphs upon paragraphs on bad guy’s POV and explaining their thought processes, displaying their actions + a mini dialogue would have done MUCH better. He’s done it with the love interest girl too.
