This book is a nice listen. The story is in line with what you would expect from a cozy mystery; very little violence, but plenty of suspects. The narrator did a very good job of annunciation and bringing distinction to the characters voices, with her tone perfect for the main character.
The story involves a bird club, whose members include a founder with a great appreciation for Kakapo parrots, a bird which I would have liked the book to explain more about. My own research after listening to Bickering Birds found it is quite an interesting bird.
Some of the main characters motivations (abandons her brand new book store to go investigating, out of spite), are a stretch, but all in all, a simple, easy listen, with good narration.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
