it has been quite awhile since I have listened to am audio book in a single day. this was a nice change of pace from the seemingly cut and paste books in the post apocalyptic/fantasy/LitRPG genre books I’ve listened to lately. Though it’s not an entirely new concept, it is written with a competent MC, no forced humor, overly sappy characters, gushy love story, or some social-political agenda. Carl’s not bad either.
it was good to be able to sit and listen to a story that just entertains.
