DCC has definitely cemented it’s way into my heart as a new favorite. Between the absolute chaos (in the best, most well written way possible) of Matt Dinniman’s writing and Jeff Hays narration, I couldn’t stop listening. I love a book that can make me full belly laugh, especially with a good plot line. The LITRPG aspect of the book is done so well that it doesn’t feel like it interrupts the plot development or general story like some in this genre can. An alien world putting Earth folk in a better version of Maze Runner style dungeon while the whole universe watches in an improved Hunger Games style fashion? Yes please. I want all of it.
