I recently discovered Davidson King, and I’m finding I’m a real fan of her work.
Even though these books are darker (at times quite dark), she sneaks in those moments of real humor and I am surprised by the laugh bursting out of me. She is quite the skilled writer, crafting characters, places, and events that feel gritty and real.
Neither of these narrators is a favorite of mine, but somehow, with Davidson King’s words, they are perfect.
