I enjoyed every page from start to end. The characters are believable and easy to connect to, but there is no wasting of words on overly descriptive and unnecessary details of their personal environments, relationships or conditions. The delightfully, creepy thing is how this tale drew from that little, dark place in my mind that tells me ‘this could happen here; could almost be happening now’. From that aspect, it was a bit reminiscent of some of Stephen King’s novels, you know, like it could be my town, my neighborhood.
