The story was interesting as a whole but the beginning and the end were not executed well. In the beginning Orin wasn’t made an appealing character and didnt have anything to make us care about him. In the end for being protrayed as a very intelligent man and immersed in the game, he didn’t solve problems effciently. It felt as if he was making the poorest of choices just to advance the story to then get handed a victory through chance. Character progression was poorly handled through a back and forth that led him to suddenly without pretense, accept something as fact. If the book is on sale give it a go but i found myself struggling through some chapters and wanting to just entirely skip some.
