Although the premise had potential and was helmed by my favorite narrator the book left something to be desired. It seems it took entirely too long to get out of the city once the lights went out. The characters need some additional background as well. I believe it is still salvageable, so book two is not out of the question. Three.point.five for a good start to a new series.
