I love Joel Leslie’s voice, it’s smooth and easy to listen to, as well as diverse for each character of part 2 of SJ Himes’ Beacon Hill series. His accents are right on the mark too. We pick up where book 1 leaves off in Simeon and Angel’s world. Our two heroes are still deeply in love and working as a team, but a strange new case has pull a different kind of danger into their lives. Add in some angst from Daniel’s life and a scrumptious love entanglement for Isaac and this audiobook hits the 5 star mark. I’m dying for Isaac’s story – DYING. And, I would be remiss without mentioning Eroch with his devotion to Angel and his new found, eternal battle with his modern day nemesis: pigeons. Be on the lookout for tasty little tidbits Himes drops as to clues for future books in the series. I can’t wait for the next installment.
