3.5 stars overall for Angel Devlin’s Book 1 of her Double Delight series, Sold.
This was my first audiobook from Angel Devlin and I thought they did a good job bringing the steam in this short menage sexy story. I enjoyed the storyline (I thing with H threw me a little in the beginning and I was happy to see him back). If you are looking for a steamy listen, this one does a good job. Some of the scenes were pretty quick/unrealistic but this was more a contemporary erotica than a contemporary romance in my opinion.
I think for me the narrators took me out of the experience a couple times, mostly Veronica’s steamier moments. I think her rendition of the dirty scenes threw me off which her going high-pitched and slightly nasally. Also her interpretation didn’t get me going if you know what I mean. Sometimes the way she delivered a particular line felt like a cheesy video you might watch alone…at night ?. It went a little over the top for me, but that could have been the point for all I know haha. I think Liam did a good job, nice tone and made it believable. Good inflections and domineering or vulnerable when he needed to be.
