This book was okay as far as the theme goes. I think the conflicts ,that will probably appear in later books in the series, were introduced way too late. Lots of dragging in many parts. Maybe it was the narration. I wasn’t particularly fond of an old man voice when the main character is a teenage girl. The inflection and emotion in the narrator’s voice did not fit the scene and tone of the circumstances. I found myself repeating lines in the proper emotional tone of the situation just to get a bit more satisfaction out of the book.
I am not ready to purchase the next book in the series. Usually, I can’t wait, but not in this case.
