The Story was great and I really enjoyed it. Misaki was frustrating for the first half of the story and I grew to love some of these characters only to have my heart ripped out. And I could’ve lives without all of the time words that were in Japanese, it seemed excessive to be honest.
But the biggest issue I had with the performance of the narrator was how he butchered the pronunciation of almost all of the Japanese words he read. Everytime he said father in Japanese I cringed because it was so grating. If you’re going to have someone read a book with lots of words in another language at least make sure they know how to pronounce them properly before letting them narrate and record the entire book, or get someone who can pronounce the words correctly.
