The shift in narration perspective from person to person and past vs present was something I worried about at the start, but it actually was handled quite adeptly. The duration with which we followed one story vs another felt very natural, and we weren’t left on cliffhangers during the transitions. Introducing stories from new characters was also done a bit before the reader entirely understood why, but it was short until it became more relevant.
