Between the narration and the writing, this book lost my attention frequently. I hung with it a lot longer than I normally would have because I didn’t have a good replacement at the moment. I gave up 3/4 of the way through.
The narration, it’s like listening to a B movie script being played. The performances are handled by more than one person. Their lines sound rushed, often abruptly switching between the characters. If you were walking down the street and overhead a casual conversation like the book sounded, it would catch your attention because it sounded so unnatural.
Story line for the book was okay. Not intricate or smooth enough to pull me in to caring about the chara though. The story needs a lot more polish.
