I have listened to a number of Zandri’s books now from several different series, so that should tell you that I enjoy his writing. The Chase Baker series is my favorite of the bunch. It has all the things that I like…adventure, action, danger, a solid alpha male lead, and beautiful women, but this book, at least, is set somewhere other than Albany, NY. I have nothing against Albany, but when you have three other series, all set there, is loses some of its appeal. But this one is set in Italy, so it gave me a chance to “visit” someplace exotic.
On top of all the other great parts of this book, this one is also a treasure hunt, so that just adds to the fun.
I had no problem starting with this book 6 in the series…I did not feel that I was missing out on anything.
Wehrlen did a great job voicing the many characters throughout the book.
