Everything about this story is so precious to me. The characters own my heart years after the first time I read this book. They are simply unforgettable. There’s nothing like this book, just nothing.
Ox is my favorite mc. He’s so relatable to me and his character arc is so moving and enthralling. His growth from a “dumb Ox” to the man he becomes is a journey that will stay with me.
His and Joe’s love story is pure and beautiful even if to aches sometimes. They truly are meant to be together. So many amazing moments between them.
This series cemented my love for shifter romance but this book is the one I come back to, the one that breaks my heart and remakes it, the one I crack open and reread my favorite sections from.
The repetition may be something folks complain about. For me, it adds character and makes the story memorable enchanting. The age gap makes some people uncomfortable even though nothing happens until they’re both much older and they’re both still young when they start dating. To that I say get over yourselves.
This book is THE book for me. End of story.
