I understand how tropes work but damn I could be blind and see to parallels between this and mushoku tensei.
but it is a very interesting world and magic system.
seems very hollow and empty though. seems like it is trying to get him grown up as fast as possible while skipping some very interesting adventures.
I want to like it and continue with the series but I don’t feel invested in the mc after these 2 books. and honestly I have enough light novels I enjoy that keep me busy, so I will have to pass on the rest of this series.
I’ll just check out Wikipedia to find out what happens later in the series.
just go read mushoku tensei, far better than this pale imitation.
