This is a fun story and draws on the emotions of sadness, love, and family. To recover from such a huge loss so courageously and find love and friendship is just a barrel full of enjoyment.
I loved the love story but am on the fence about the sarcasm of our heroine, though it is toned down. I liken that to her lack of schooling and her jettison to fight or flight. It is a brilliant way to make Gracie uniquely loveable.
I recommend this to any sci-fi fan for the love of aliens and lasers and to any romantic at heart. If you’re a Smith and Brenin fan, you will love this story as well.
