Would you consider the audio edition of Blood Truth to be better than the print version?
My personal preference is audiobooks because I can listen while I drive, do chores, or take walks.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Blood Truth?
This is the first novel in the Rick Cahill series that I’ve listened to. A memorable moment for me was listening to the mystery of Rick’s father’s life play out. Each discovery gives us another glimpse into the past and Rick’s relationship with his Dad. I love how the backstory adds dimension to Rick’s character and personality.
What about Travis Baldreeā€™s performance did you like?
It’s easy to imagine a PI like Rick sounding like Travis Baldree. He captures the character very well.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
An unexpected reaction I had was actually to Rick’s personal moral code. Because of Rick’s line of work he has to balance work ethics (maintaining his client’s privacy) with the deception involved in finding information.

The way he interacted with the bank staff when trying to access his father’s safe deposit box showed that he was willing to use the bank’s own rules and regulations against them in order to access his father’s property.
