Much more enjoyable than book one – better storyline!
I read books 1, 2 and 5 back-to-back – book 2 was much more enjoyable than book 1. It was a very different read than most regency romances with the main female character being a widow and the main male character being a long-time friend proposing a relationship of an unusual nature – since she never planned to marry again and he never intends to marry at all…
It was fun listening to the pair make a bet that he can avoid his father’s insistence and the two of them in the meantime practice their affair and her teaching him to be a better paramour. Quite a fun one that was different than most out there.
Narrators did a better job than they did in book 1 (same pair).
