I have been fortunate enough to have been given this book as a gift. I was so happy to receive it since I had been eyeing it for quite some time.
Joel Leslie has a very distinct voice and accent with the uncanny ability to bring his characters to life with his performances. This is not the first time Ms. Sue has worked with Joel and his performance in this book has been no less stellar. I enjoyed the storyline even though I am not a big fan of historical romances when it comes to the LGBT+ community or race. Sometimes the prejudices of the past are just too difficult to deal with. However, this story was truly a great listen. I was so invested in it. Ms Sue will do that to you though. Have you enthralled with her writing it is as if you were watching it on the tele.
All in all, great listen and interesting read.
