And here’s why: The “hero” is a cop who sits in a parking lot stalking his ex-girlfriend and her husband through binoculars. He even has a cell he built in his basement to keep her in. You gotta be freaking kidding me! She broke up with him and married someone else some time ago and now Pierce is in love with someone else. Really? It doesn’t matter that he didn’t kidnap her and he started seeing a psychiatrist. The fact is I read it and that’s all I can think about now. That’s the worst first part of a book I’ve ever read.
Ally just wrote about a book that someone was “ick,” in on Goodreads and I can certainly agree with that word. This guy was really “ick.”
Besides that the narrator sucked. His female voices sounded just like the males.
