I’m pretty much a hard sci-fi listener.
I’ve never been interested in war stories much.
However, I do love airplanes and am a DCS hobbyist which got me started.
I was surprised to find that this is much more than a war story.
It’s a story that involves people and relationships as much as it does planes.
The writing is better than most books I’ve listened to.
It kept me so interested that after the first book, I bought the whole series right away.
The performance is just excellent, I can’t imagine how it could’ve gotten better.
The reader does a great job giving each character something unique.
My experience with DCS really helped in understanding the technical details which are all there as I understand them.
Even without this you will find it entertaining but there is more here for the learned.
It does make you wonder how much of this is actually fiction.
My favorite book right now is Dark Matter by Blake Crouch.
When I was done I felt that I had a similar connection to the characters as I did in the aforementioned.
I wonder how long it will be until this becomes a movie.
