The performance was very well done, but the good news mostly ends there. The story is a bit generic, and the characters rather thin, but neither of those is necessary bad or unexpected. The long *long* blocks of endlessly repetitive stats really broke up the story’s momentum and spoiled immersion for me. I’ve enjoyed many LitRPGs on Audible, but the stats and focus on technical game mechanics seemed really excessive in this one.
