Mc has no character, rules of the universe has defined limit (good thing), no Mary Sue in sight, and the book is fantastic because of the production team involved. LITRPG almost always start with rules and end with Gary Stu breaking them, this book is a slow build, and kept dipping into a fun little Lovecraftian nightmare, but never stays there. I could decribe why in great detail this is refreshing, but I will kinda point out what it didn’t do that made it good. No haram, no world break powers, no chosen one, and no revelation at the end that changes what the character can do.
It is building a world of things to come, hinting how dark it can get, and I can’t wait for the next book.
