I continue to enjoy this series, though I didn’t think this one was quite as good as the first.
Good fun. I’ll be looking for the next book.
It’s interesting that the series is so interesting because there’s no grand scheme and no huge adventure, but the characters are charming and it’s fun to see their evolution.
I like their focus on training and advancement, though at times it seems a bit unrealistic. For example, regardless of the fact that you get a standardized certification, when you get to a knew job the first thing that’s going to happen is you’re given a bunch of material to learn on the specific systems on your ship — there will ALWAYS be unique aspects.
