- Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
- Yes, good story, although the characters were slightly underdeveloped. The writing was very good and it never became too porn-y or silly, as stories with porn stars could easily become. Instead, it was presented pretty realistically, and the porn angle was pretty down played. That was good, but also kind of bad in that the effects of being in porn for these men was never addressed, it was just like any job, and kind of came across like it was a dull job that the characters forgot about the second they left the studios.
- Would you recommend Dare to Hope to your friends? Why or why not?
- Yes, this was a story of three friends, two of whom had tragedies greatly affect their lives in the past year or two, and the third was their therapist who got a little too emotionally involved with these two. (Also, there was no anguish or consequence of a doctor becoming emotionally and eventually sexually involved with their clients). All three find themselves attracted to each other and not sure how to handle the situation.
The best part of this audiobook is the narrator, Joel Leslie. He is by far one of the best narrator’s in the industry. He gave every character a distinct voice and accents as needed as well. Joel brings the story to life, making the author’s well written text even better.
- Any additional comments?
- I think this was the third book in this series I have listened to/read. They are all good books and I recommend them to anyone who likes this genre. Come for the story, stay for Joel Leslie!
