The story is an excellent concept. The execution by the author is rather poor. The main character comes off as mentally damaged or retarded. The main character also comes off as extremely arrogant and stuck up in “his” field of expertise. The other characters are likewise one-dimensional. The main character ends up taking a second character role in “his” own story. The main character within the first few chapters immediately switches to the “female” Thief . The story is written as though the author is an SJW with gender pronoun dysphoria. Many of the “he” and “hers” have been replaced with them and they. I do not find this to be a very good story overall.
