Thinking about how much society revolves around technology and how social media is now a normal part of life, it makes sense that they would now also be tools for those with bad intentions. People who look for ways to exploit or use unsuspecting victims will be evolving and coming up with new and “better” ways to do so. Random Acts by Franklin Horton is truly terrifying in that it shows how terrorists or just evil or sick individuals can use technology to further their plans and regular people can unknowingly get sucked into them. While the main plot focuses around these ideas, Mr. Horton does a great job building the story and characters, with multiple sub-plots that keep us engaged. I could feel the suspense building up inside me, the connections with the characters and the implications swirling around my mind.

Kevin Pierce uses his voice to entrance us into this world that is causing new revelations, but we also don’t want to leave because we need to know what happens next. His excellent performance carries the fear of the unknown, the wonder of new experiences and the love of a family; the emotions resonating through his voice. His pace and dialogue is natural and helps transport us into this highly recommended Audible.
