Ancient enemies that have a LOT of history which does not make trust possible. Sadly, trust is necessary if either one is going to get out of this situation. Of course, that amount of trust leaves the reader hoping that both will get out at least mostly safely. The barbs that fly between them do show that there may be more than just the past between them…..
The narration was great with character distinction and emotion bringing depth to the story.
Bottom line: This is the BEST way to spend an afternoon on the weekend while you can concentrate on the great story.
