I like this series a lot. I thought both of them were entitled brats in their own way. I know Mercy is nice, but it can get annoying when she is so stuck on not fighting that she dismisses awful things people are doing. While not having an issue making it super awkward for Linden. Pride was the definition of an inferiority complex and no one confronts him about it for most of the book. He will get people killed to show how strong he is. It is so annoying having Mercy make excuses instead of calling him out. She might as well support his behavior.
