First off, I prep myself, so I get it. But I had a hard time getting into the characters, they didn’t resonate with me. The most interesting insight in to Jim was in the epilogue. Not caring much about the characters, made it hard to get into the story. I felt like this story was someone dressing up a survival manual.
Kevin Pierce – I have heard a couple books read by him, and he does narrated the story well. The problem for me, is he sounds like an older guy (which I am myself), and it is nearly impossible to match that with the guy on the cover of the book. I envision a 60 year old guy working his way home.
