There are way too many Sci Fi stories with cowardly main characters. So that aspect of this story was bad enough but then the overly descriptive character and scene description made me cringe. It felt like a teacher (who couldn’t get a real job) was leaning over the authors shoulder saying ‘expand on that’.
Maybe Audible can produce ‘non sucky over descriptive’ versions of given audiobooks:)
I listened to most of it at 1.70x speed. I probably skipped about 20-30% of story. No intent of getting additional volumes in the series.
