I kept waiting for a sympathetic character. The prosecutors were the only ones. The mothers seemed to do nothing but scream and sob uncontrollably. I get that – their tragedy was beyond hideous. But every time one of them said “if he isn’t arrested/tried/convicted I have nothing to live for,” I wondered how that made their surviving children feel. Like nothing?
