Good enough to finish but way too melodramatic. The author attempts to make a developed cast of characters but she winds up turning what should be a paragraph into multiple pages. And Lauren, the protagonist, is simply unlikable & unrealistic. Franklin Horton has a similar character; female bad-ass that turns out to be way over the top & unrealistic. The similarity is close enough to make me think the author is the same woman.
