Nothing felt original and the writing style bugged me. I almost never complain/critique like this, but basically, I didn’t enjoy being immersed in the story as this character.. I couldn’t tell if the MC was a dumdum or he, his thoughts, and all the dialogue were just poorly written.
Despite all that, I might still return and give at least the next book a chance to see how the author develops the world/system/magic/etc, but it won’t be any time soon, if ever.
