Notbad, but not great. For a “former Marine” the MC whines a lot. He must not have been a grunt or he’d known he was in a BOHICA situation. The author also wasn’t a Marine or he wouldn’t have written “latrine”, which is an Army/Air Force term, but written “head” , “the head”, Marine/Navy term, especially as much of the story takes place on a ship.
