Jeff’s performance here is great. There are a number of well done audio effects that that help elevate it.
Unfortunately, the story itself – particularly the writing – was rather mediocre. I can tell some effort was put into characterization, but they still mostly felt flat. The world itself lacked the kind of depth that makes it come alive.
This was a book that I did make it through, but seriously considered DNFing.
