Contrary to many opinions, I actually really enjoy the direction the story has gone in. Though, I do believe the flashbacks could have been integrated in a better way, like in a standalone novella. That being said, the things this story does right far outweighs the things it does wrong. I love that the author isn’t afraid to give his protagonist real flaws and internal conflict. Those things along with the impressive world building really separate this series from the standard “reincarnation fantasy Litrpg” fare.
