I really hate the constant training aspect, to the point of the ending being Arthur going through all that training to only get a deus ex machina power up, and it STILL WASN’T NEARLY GOOD ENOUGH. I mean, the ending was fun and excitingly written, but it took ten+ hours to get there? Snooze….
This book needs an editor to trims the fat out. The story is clearly more than half over and it feels like padding.
