I could not listen to this book, the narrator’s cadence was exceedingly distracting. I paused in the beginning to check listener reviews regarding the narrator. All happy, glowing adoration as far as I could see, so I must be wrong. I tried again. Nope. I was too often pulled out of the story by annoyance, my mind mentally mapping the consistent and unwavering cadence (da da da da duh, da da da da duh) of the narrator’s speech. I cannot give a review of the story as I made it (heroically, to me) only an hour or so into the recording. Just a heads-up to those who may also be distracted by such things.
