Yeah, there is sex in here. I didn’t find it pornographic in detailing, though it was in “content” (i.e. she was an online sex worker and participated in various fetish-based sex activities, but it was not graphically detailed).
The main character is very well done. And a non-victim female which might just be what makes this story doubly good in my book. I think the story is even kinda on the believable side, though, of course, it has been pushed over-the-top for dramatic effect.
I love dark mature suspense… so this really hit the spot. I know there are mixed reviews, but don’t let them put you off. There is swearing, detailed sexual fetishism, some non-graphic violence and a great sense of justice-served at the end.
(btw, Eisler’s first Livia Lone book is a read-alike).
