Carl and Donut continue to capture most of the audacious and bodacious dungeon crawl quests again in this series. However, there are also exciting, strange and entertaining quests from other characters, some from past acquaintances and others from newly introduced characters. Not only are the crawlers fighting monsters and game royals, they are now faces with demi-gods, feral gods and god-gods out to out them! There are some cultural references that only middle-aged and seniors would catch on to like Joe Camel and, hilariously, Secret Asian Man.
If you gotten this far in the series thenyou know that it doesn’t hesitate to break into dark areas and well as some cringy off-color dialog but most of that is for short-lived comedic effect.
Jeff Hays again delivers a performance worthy of his high-ranking as a narrator.
