I introduced this series to a friend of mine who wanted a good SciFi series, but was tired of the alien invasion and war stories with the stereotyped “____atron” gadget to solve a problem. No alien invasion, no war, plenty of story line in this series. Nathan Lowell has an art to making you understand the “jargon”, culture and technology without writing a glossary or having technical footnotes. Golden age of the Solar Clipper series can make you lose track of time and feel like you’re on the Ishmail’s crew.
