Do not, I repeat do not listen to negative reviews. They are either paid for by competition or a moron that read this book.
This may be my favorite litrpg audio book I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. This author is genius. I was never bored and could listen for hours on end. The story is thrilling and the narration is flawless. The growth of Carl into what he becomes is step by step. Never is there a point where he does something out of character. Instead you see exactly how the horrors and challenges mold him into what he becomes. I was on the edge of my seat and could listen for hours asking myself “how are they going to get out of this mess?”
If any reviews say it is too complicated to follow, I’m sorry you aren’t intelligent enough for this series. Move on. However I was enthralled and able to process this wonder filled story with so many layers, astounded by the scope the author was able to imagine.
Here is a tip for any new audible listeners. Pause the book and process things when something wild or heavy goes down. Talk it out loud. I do this frequently (when I’m alone haha) and it really does help.
