For context: I have read through book five of this series and although not excellent, I will probably continue following it.

The MC is a teenager with all of the angst and whining that entails, It continues forever, and at some points, even if you like the series you will want to punch him if he whines about his class one more time. Additionally, he is captain obvious for things that do not matter and everything of note is treated as a surprise.

Another thing of note. The author likes cliff hangers way too much. Frequent arcs end in cliffhangers, followed by POV shift so it can be resolved later. Every book ends in a cliffhanger.

I think the most interesting part of the entire series is whether the MC is actually the MC or just a puppet for gods and those with prophetic powers.
