makes no sense

I will admit right off that I only got to chapter 10.

The story doesn’t make any sense. i’m not talking about strangeness with the system or characters. I’m talking about it makes no sense events have no cause and events that should have an effect have no effect. they read off the exact same character sheet twice a few chapters or paragraphs apart and talk about the amazing changes when there are none. I suppose it is possible that it is just bad translation, but it seems to me to make less sense than the literal translation.
